Some small weddings could be allowed from June as coronavirus lockdown rules are relaxed

Wedding ceremonies of any size are currently banned and will remain so after Wednesday, when a slight easing of the rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19 takes effect.
But in an update today, the Government says that could change within weeks.

Hide Ad“We understand the frustration couples planning a wedding must be feeling, so we have set out our intention to enable small wedding ceremonies from June 1,” the latest guidance states.
“As with all coronavirus restrictions on places of worship, venues and social distancing, we will look to ease them as soon as it is safe to do so.”
The latest advice about weddings is part of an update from the Government answering frequently asked questions about what people now can and can’t do.
