The Wizard of Oz is coming on to The Baths Hall Scunthorpe for a spectacular Easter pantomime.
It stars Strictly Come Dancing finalist Dani Harmer of Tracy Beaker fame as Dorothy, the hilarious Bobby Davro as Scarecrow and children’s favourite Sarah-Jane Honeywell as Glinda. There will be a full supporting cast and amazing dancers.
Follow Kansas farm-girl Dorothy and her pet dog Toto on this magical adventure suitable for all ages.
Sarah-Jane Honeywell is well known as presenter of CBeebies Tikkabilla, Mighty Mites, ZingZillas and Higgledy House.
Watch in amazement as they are picked up by a tornado and carried off to the magical Land of Oz. With help from their new friends the Munchkins, they to travel to the Emerald City where the great Wizard of Oz lives.
On their way they meet a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man who wants a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who desperately needs courage.
Will the wonderful Wizard of Oz be able to help them before the Wicked Witch of the West captures them in her dungeon?
Producer Jezz Weatherall said: “We’re really looking forward to coming to Scunthorpe during the Easter holidays with this fantastic show. It’s got a great cast of TV stars and an amazing live band.
“We know how popular our Christmas pantomimes are across the country and we’re now hoping to give audiences another quality family event during the year.” Performances are on Tuesday and Wednesday April 9 and 10.
