Summer Live! next week at the Motorpoint Arena

Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena plays host next week to Hallam FM’s 40th Birthday bash – Summer Live.

The South Yorkshire radio station are putting on a party with today’s biggest stars for one night of great live music to celebrate their 40th year on air!

Summer Live will take place at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield on Friday July 18 - the day that South Yorkshire schools close for the summer and everyone’s invited to join the party!

Tickets are on sale now and with a fabulous, star-studded line up its one not to be missed!

The line-up of acts for Summer Live reads like a who’s who of the current chart stars with 26 top ten singles and seven Number 1 hits between them it’s going to be one massive party.

Acts set to appear include X Factor winners Little Mix who recently sold out their first ever Arena headline show here in Sheffield.

The latest boy band sensations Five Seconds of Summer – a group of teenagers from Sydney, Australia who have just supported One Direction on their recent sell-out 28 date UK and European leg of their ‘Where We Are’ stadium Tour.

The latest UK pop sensations The Vamps, will be rocking the stage at Summer Live with hits including Can We Dance, Wild Heart and Last Night! The band supported The Wanted on tour earlier this year.

Katy B, who joined forces with fellow Summer Live artist, Ricky Wilson to help him mentor his team on BBC’s The Voice, is sure to bring the party a funky vibe with her dance floor anthems.

Yorkshire’s own Kaiser Chiefs who have been together over 10 years and this year released their fifth studio album will also perform. Front-man and ‘The Voice’ judge Ricky Wilson said “I’m really excited, coming back up North feels like recharging my batteries. I can’t believe Hallam FM are 40”.

Foxes, Ella Henderson Number 1 debut single Ghost, Neon Jungle recently supported Jessie J on her sell-out 2013 Arena Tour, Ella Eyre who featured on Rudimental’s Top 10 single Waiting All Night, Jess Glynn who featured on two of this years biggest selling Number 1 singles, Clean Bandit’s Rather Be and Route 94’s My Love and Sheffield’s The Voice contestant Jess Steele completes the line up.
