One of Britain’s most popular live bands are heading out on tour – and have lined up their first show at Sheffield Arena.

Fresh from a headline set at Leeds Festival, Mumford & Sons – frontman Marcus Mumford, keyboard player Ben Lovett, guitarist Winston Marshall and bassist Ted Dwane – have announced a UK tour which includes a show at the Attercliffe venue on Sunday, November 29.

An Arena spokeswoman said: “The Summer of 2015 has been the best ever for the band. Back in June, they headlined the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tennessee, followed by a series of breath-taking shows in some equally breath-taking European locations.

“From a capacity crowd at Verona’s ancient Roman amphitheatre, followed by a performance among the woodland of Goffertpark in Nijmegen, and then two incredible nights at Berlin’s Waldbühne amphitheatre, before two jubilant sold-out dates at the legendary Forum in LA.”

Support comes from singer-songwriter Jack Garratt.

Tickets for the Sheffield show go on sale tomorrow, at 9am, priced from £26.25, from 0114 256 5656, online at www.sheffieldarena.co.uk or in person at the venue box office.
