Keeping it in the family at the Cadeby

It’s a real family affair at the Cadeby.

The pub and restaurant was taken over in May by the Joneses – and they’re going to take some keeping up with!

The family – Gordon and Sue and son Ben have embarked on major renovations at the picturesque village venue, giving a complete new look to the inside and adding a terrace outdoors.

Surprisingly, the family has no background in the hospitality trade.

“For some crazy reason we were looking for a new challenge!” laughed Ben. “And though there’s no history in the trade we’re loving it. We’ve got the restaurant side of it as we want it, and the bar will be finished soon, so it’s all looking good.”

The Cadeby plans to concentrate on traditional seasonal food, with experienced executive chef Sean Daniels taking control of the menu. “His a la carte is to die for,” Ben said.

The pub serves food from 12 to 2.30pm and 6 to 9pm.
