INDIE rockers I Am Kloot will headline this year’s Doncaster Live music festival.
The Manchester trio, who were shortlisted for the 2010 Mercury Music Prize for best album, will top the bill on September 8 at the free musical extravaganaza, held annually in Doncaster Market Place.
The band have released six albums to date with their last release, Sky At Night, which was produced by Guy Garvey and Craig Potter of Elbow, climbing into the UK top 30.
Also on the bill will be Sunderland’s Frankie and The Heartstrings whose debut album Hunger made the UK top 40 albums chart last year.
The five piece band have drawn comparisons with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Beady Eye.
Also on the bill are The Crookes, Paul Dakeyne and guests and Fallen Trees. The music will get under way at 6pm.
The details of the Sunday September 9 line-up have yet to be announced.
