mike Whitehead has resigned from Doncaster Knights with immediate effect.
Half back Whitehead has struggled with injuries while work commitments away from Castle Park have reportedly caused a conflict of interest he struggled to manage.
The 28-year-old broke his hand and spent three months on the sidelines before a return to action in January.
The Knights released a statement saying they were disappointed to see Whitehead leave but thanked him for his services and wished him well in his future endeavours.
Whitehead arrived at Castle Park last summer from Esher.
He had previous spells with London Wasps, London Welsh and Rotherham Titans following graduation from England age groups in 2003.
