Doncaster Knights were quick out of the blocks on Saturday!
Tyson Lewis took just eight seconds to score one of the sport’s fastest ever tries in the 33-17 win at Old Albanians - and Knights reckon it could be the quickest ever try scored in league history.
Lewis’ sensational score was clocked at 8.13 seconds.
In 2008 Lee Blackett scored for Leeds against Newcastle after 8.28 seconds.
The RFU have on record only one try faster than Lewis’ but that came in a cup game. Sutton & Epsom RFC scrum half Steve Munford touched down in just 7.5 seconds in the Incentive FM Surrey Cup semi-final in 2008.
