Hill House School’s rugby section hope to kick on next season after an excellent campaign.

The under 15 team reached the last 16 of the prestigious NatWest Vase and several players went on to play representative rugby.

Jack Bodman, Farraz Anjum and Tom Kell all represented Yorkshire at under 15 level and played in fixtures against traditional rivals Lancashire and Cheshire.

Four boys were selected to represent Yorkshire Carnegie under 15s at the RFU Academy Festival.

Elliot Webb, Jon Pekin, Ciaran Gaffney and Anjum went toe to toe with Northampton Saints, Leicester Tigers, Newcastle Falcons, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors’ academies.

George Bastow also played for the North of England at the England selection week at Wellington College.

Former Doncaster Knights star Jamie Lennard recently took over as director of rugby at the school.
