Hexthorpe Methodist Church served up a table tennis tournament win to claim the coveted Coronation Cup for the second time.
The squad faced a team called YMCA 5, a side made up of players connected to its Doncaster town centre base.
And a tense final saw Hexthorpe win 401-388 at the church on Urban Road to claim their second cup out of three final appearances.
Player Doug Atkins was delighted with the win.
“It was a fantastic cup final and event overall,” he told the Free Press.
“The cup is held annually and we always have a really good turnout.
“It really was good and the side we played were very good too, it was a close match.”
The cup winning team has just five players on its books with the age range going up to over 80-years-old.
“We just all love playing table tennis,” he added.
Both cup finalists compete in the Doncaster Table Tennis Association’s league.
