Sri Lankan Arosh Janoda hit a swashbuckling century to guide Conisbrough to a nine wicket win against Rotherham Town B.

Janoda was merciless as he hammered his way to 115 not out in 68 balls - including a boundary count of 13 fours and eight sixes - to ease the hosts to victory.

The overseas star had earlier claimed 3-31 with the ball as win-less Rotherham posted 156-8.

Elsewhere in the Championship, in-form Tickhill held their nerve to win by two wickets at promotion rivals Elsecar and move joint second in the table in the process.

Josh Court (4-34) and Alex Rowland (3-16) did most of the damage as Elsecar struggled to 136-9.

Tickhill’s response was anchored by Andrew Rennison (26), James Stuart (29) and stumper Jordan Lowe (27) as they battled with both the conditions and the Elsecar bowling.

In a close finish they reached their target for the loss of eight wickets with eight balls to spare.

Fourth-placed Wath furthered their promotion ambitions with an eight wicket win at Houghton Main, following an incredible performance by skipper Rob Barlow.

Barlow waltzed through the Main batting line-up to finish up with amazing analysis of 9-27 from 11 overs.

He then hit an excellent 61, combining with William Cooper (42no), to see his team home with minimum fuss.
