Catholic Club 3 Scawthorpe Club 2: As predicted, a cracking match ensued with Brian Thompson beating Pat McHale 59-39 then Bill Collinson won against Barry Deakin 61-28. Things changed for the hosts when Terry Hannah lost to Les Seymore, 57-23, but back came Charlie Morgan who beat Jim Seymore 63-53. It came down to Pete McGill to take the last frame for the visitors against Brian Lamb, with a 60-47 win.
