It’s a Dudley double

JOHN Dudley did the double at Woodhouse Grange where he won the Thursday and Saturday matches.

Dudley (Woodhouse Grange) won the Thursday open with 76-14-0 of carp taken on the pellet feeder from peg 8 on Kingfisher.

He was followed by runner up Ian Taylor (South Kirby) 58-8-0 and 3 K Pearson (Woodhouse Grange) 47-11-0.

Saturday’s match was fished on Cobble and Dudley won again from peg 46 with 35-10-0 of carp taken on the pole and pellet to beat Malc Thompson (Woodhouse Grange) by just one ounce, who had 35-9-0 of carp to the same method. Carl Swetnam (Woodhouse Grange) took third with 32-3-0.

Wednesday’s Open was fished on Heron lake and won by Tony Briscoe (Woodhouse Grange) with 72-3-0 of carp taken on the pole with pellet from peg 39.

Steve Clegg (Woodhouse Grange) took second with 54-7-0, ahead of 3 N Manigan 51-5-0.

Paul Ellis (Woodhouse Grange) won the Sunday match, also fished on Heron, with 75-5-0 of carp taken on the pellet feeder from peg 8.

Runner up Graham Martin (Sheffield) 74-5-0 was followed by 3 Malc Scott (Goole) 73-3-0.

The dates for the Woodhouse Grange individual winter league are Oct 30, Nov 6/20, Dec 4/18, Jan 15/29, Feb 12/26, Mar 11.
