A rising dressage star will be saddling up for her toughest challenge of the year when she competes in the National Schools Equestrian finals.

Rebecca Blackman qualfied for the competition in style, gaining the highest score in the run-up to the finals with her horse Broomfield Phoenix (Gu).

The 17-year-old Haxey student has enlisted the help of Olympic rider Darryl Thickitt for the prestigious finals which started on Friday and run until Sunday in Buckinghamshire.
