THE Dons will begin their quest for a silverware double next Sunday as the end of season play offs kick off.
Tony Miller’s men will face Championship One runners up Barrow at the Keepmoat with the winners progressing directly to the final.
Despite having the Championship One title under their belts, Miller insists the Dons are determined to double up.
He said: “We’re definitely motivated, we want to try and get the double.
“The main thing was to win the title but the lads have set the marker and they’ll want to see how far we can get in the play offs.”
Should the Dons lose the September 16 (3pm) tie with Barrow, their play off campaign will not be over.
This weekend Workington Town host Oldham while Whitehaven welcome Rochdale Hornets.
The two winners from that pair of fixtures will face off for the chance to visit the loser of the Dons versus Barrow clash in the semi final on September 23.
The play off final will take place at Warrington Wolves’ Halliwell Jones Stadium on September 30.
