Doncaster RLFC have released no fewer than 19 players as they re-build for League One.
Long serving pair Mike Emmett and Matt Carbutt are among those to be released, while Dons veteran Shaun Leaf has retired from the sport.
The Dons have offered new deals to club captain Craig Robinson, Jack Walton, Liam Welham. Alex Gilbey and Mike Kelly.
Chief executive Carl Hall said: “Obviously supporters may be sad that a number of players are leaving the club who have been here and contributed massively to us over a long period of time.
“However following last season, we knew there would be a high turnover of players at the club and some tough decisions would have to be made.
“The achievements of some of the players departing will not be forgotten though and they will always remain friends of the club. I’d like to thank everyone leaving for their contribution and I wish them success in the future.”
