Graham Briggs (pictured) won the 2015 Danum Trophy Road Race on Sunday.

The Rossington rider kicked on during the final lap through Sprotbrough village to hold off Ben Hertherington by four seconds.

Sheffield’s Joey Walker put in an excellent performance to finish sixth and also first junior.

Set in the picturesque grounds of High Melton College, a high quality field of 70 riders contested the Trophy, which was first run in 1969.

The event was organised by Doncaster Wheelers and Dinnington Road Club, and sponsored by Universal Cycle Centre and Don Valley Cycles with support from the Doncaster College High Melton Campus.
