It was lucky number seven for Scott Buttrick as he picked up a collection of wickets for Crowle Outcasts.
The side’s first team hosted Scunthorpe Town CC’s second string in a derby match which saw the hosts close in on a 36-run win. And Buttrick (pictured) was easily the pick of Crowle’s bowlers as he claimed 7-46 in just 12 overs.
At the batting end, John Stokoe hit 71 for the Outcasts before being caught by Harry Pope off a Jake Smith delivery.
Scunthorpe, who won the toss, opted to bowl first as Crowle finished with 177-7 at Hirst Priory.
Outcasts’ Mark Fletcher’s 21 not out was the second best score of the game for the hosts.
But then came the Buttrick show as the bowler claimed wicket after wicket, reducing Scunthorpe to 141 all out in the Lincolnshire County League First Division encounter.
