VIDEO: HODSON'S CHOICE: Doncaster 58 London Skolars 16

Waiting for Video...

LETHAL winger Tom Hodson added five tries to his rapidly-growing tally for the season as the Dons dominated their Good Friday clash with London Skolars.

The Dons punished the visitors in the wide areas, particularly on the left where Hodson combined superbly with Lee Waterman and the inspirational Paul Cooke.

Waterman opened the scoring after six minutes, pouncing as John Paxton attempted to scoop up a mis-placed pass, dribbling forward before galloping clear.

Five minutes later, Hodson got off the mark as he dodged a last ditch tackle before strolling over, Cooke adding the conversion.

Kieran Hyde was the next over on the quarter hour, skipping past a couple of challenges from ten metres out before Cooke added the conversion.

The Skolars were not completely on the back foot and pulled a try back themselves on 21 minutes with fleet-footed full back James Anthony darted over the line.

Hodson grabbed his second try within three minutes, capping brilliant ball work through the hands of Cooke and Waterman for a converted score in the corner.

Anthony once again showed his turn of pace as he scored again for the Skolars from close range with Neil Thorman converting.

Hodson completed his hat trick on 31 minutes courtesy of a brilliant pass from Cooke which missed out four players to find him by the touchline.

Cooke added the conversion plus the extras to Waterman’s second which he created with another superb pass two minutes before the break.

The Dons wasted no time adding to their score in the second half with Hodson over inside 40 seconds after the visitors knocked on from the kick off.

Waterman completed his hat trick on 46 minutes, picking up the ball after Kyle Kesik was tripped on the break.

Cooke converted and also added the extras when Kyle Bibb capped a good period of pressure.

The impressive Grant Edwards got on the scoresheet as the Dons continued to pile on the pressure.

The Skolars halted the period of one way traffic when Michael Hopkins dotted down with Thorman converting

But the last say went to the rampant Hodson, again taking the honours after good work as part of the triumvirate with Cooke and Waterman.
