THE Dons’ promotion party is on hold - at least for another week.

Rochdale’s win over Crusaders on Sunday means the Dons cannot confirm their return to the Championship in Thursday night’s televised clash with Workington at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Tony Miller’s men require four points from their final five games to be sure of a place back in the second tier.

However Thursday’s game, to be televised live on Premier Sports, remains critical to the club’s hopes of winning the Championship One title.

Promoted Barrow currently lead the division with 38 points from 14 games, followed by Workington on 35 from 13 and Doncaster on 33 from 13.

In the spirit of the new ‘Doncaster Rovers Sporting Club’, the Dons have teamed up with Rovers to offer specially discounted tickets for Thursday night’s crucial game.

Rovers season ticket holders and Alliance members can claim half price tickets from the Keepmoat Stadium ticket office - and are being urged to attend the game in Rovers colours.
