Cricketers attend dinner and presentation

FIFTEEN members of Hatfield Main Cricket Club attended the Doncaster & District Cricket League Annual Dinner and Presentation Evening at Castle Park, Armthorpe.

The club received the William Thompson Cup as league champions of Section C.

The club won all their league games during the 2009 season and Hatfield Main were the first winners of the cup in 1970. They also received the Ron Johnson Memorial Cup as runners-up in the Supplementary Knock-out Cup. Individual awards went to the club captain, Melvyn Bellamy, who won the Section C bowling award for taking 42 wickets with an average of 6.45; Adam Berriman won the Section C Junior bowling award taking 36 wickets with an average of 7.97 and Andrew Moores won the Intersport Player of the Month Award for September.
