A chunk of unbeaten Jason up for grabs

WHO WANTS IT? Unbeaten bantamweight prospect Jason Cunningham is available for a unique sponsorship package.

UNBEATEN Jason Cunningham is asking who wants a piece of him?

But rather than stepping in the ring with the Woodlands bantamweight, he wants you to become his ‘part owner’ to help fund his professional career.

As part of an innovative move from Cunningham’s St Paul’s Boxing Academy trainers, potential sponsors can gain behind the scenes access to the life of a professional boxer and back the exciting young talent in the process.

For less than £5 per week, sponsors will receive perks such as ringside seats, pre-fight dressing room access and visits to the gym plus a percentage of Cunningham’s fight income.

Cunningham said: “It’s an exciting idea and it will really help fighters like me out.

“I’m a Doncaster lad but I train in Hull so it can be quite costly on a week to week basis.

“Something like this will really help me achieve what I want to in this sport.”

Former ABA champion Cunningham is set to step back between the ropes on Saturday night at the Sports Arena in Hull as he continues an active first year in the pro ranks.

He said: “This will be my sixth fight and I’m hoping to have had eight fights by the end of my first year in December.

“I’ve wanted to keep as active as possible because things are going really well at the minute.

“We’re looking at the Central Area title next year if I can keep this unbeaten run going.

“I’m really pleased with the start I’ve made and I just want to get better and better.

“There’s some good bantamweights locally, with Jamie McDonnell obviously at the top of that list, and I’m confident I can reach those heights as well.”

Anyone interested in sponsoring Cunningham should call 07535539788.
