DONCASTER Knights are hoping for a bit of Friday night fever when they launch their Championship play-off campaign at Castle Park next week.

Brett Davey’s side host Bristol Rugby, who finished top of the table at the end of the regular season, on Friday, March 9 (7.45pm).

The club hope to entice local sportsmen and women - who would usually be unable to attend Castle Park on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon - to the Friday evening fixture.

A Knights statement said: “We are hoping the Friday evening game will provide us with an opportunity to expand our supporter base and allow the many people who compete in sporting activities on a Saturday to attend a game at Castle Park.

“We are promoting the game to all the rugby union clubs of the Yorkshire RFU, with particular focus on the clubs in and around the Doncaster Metropolitan area.

“A Friday evening also provides a great opportunity for our regular commercial customers to bring work colleagues and customers along to Castle Park to enjoy a meal and a drink and hopefully an exciting Knights victory before heading off to start their weekend social activities.”

Family tickets for two adults and two children are available for just £10 by contacting the Knights on 01302 831388.
