JOHN Buckley is calling on his Doncaster Rovers Belles players to demonstrate a more ruthless streak in front of goal to arrest their slide down the table.
The Belles are looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to bottom club Liverpool tonight, having lost four matches on the trot.
A victory for the visitors would put them above Bristol Academy, who they entertain at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.
“I would be worried if we were getting absolutely battered and weren’t good enough but that is not the case,” Buckley told The Star. “The younger players have really stepped up to the mark in recent weeks.
“We just have to start converting our chances. We have got to try and get more bodies in the box to put the chances we create away.”
He added: “We haven’t had the rub of the green though - but I’ve seen enough from our performances recently to know we will be alright.”
Goalkeeper Helen Alderson and strikers Katie Anderton and Becky Hall are sidelined by injuries.
