Team Plant lifted the 2015 Crown Hotel Bawtry Doncaster Business Cup after a hard fought 2-1 win against Team Van Steen at the Keepmoat Stadium.

But the big winners were five local charities - after the annual football fundraiser netted more than £10,000.

Captained by Moirae’s David Plant, the winners started the game on the front foot and went ahead courtesy of a brilliant long range effort from man of the match Simon Brewster.

Ryan Malee’s cool finish levelled the scores shortly after the break but a bizarre own goal by Andy Lilley settled matters.

Former World Cup and Champions League final referee Howard Webb officiated the match.

The money raised will be split between Aurora, Firefly, Bluebell Wood, Club Doncaster Foundation and North Ridge Community School.
