THERE was no finding of feet required as Moorends Hornets Under 13s made their debut in the Selby and District Junior League.
Not only did they win the Red Division, they also lifted the Selby Cup.
It was an incredible battling spirit that led to the Hornets winning 17 out of 18 games last season, drawing the other one.
Away at Market Weighton they grounded out a 5-3 triumph despite being reduced to nine men.
And they sealed the league title away at Garforth after going 2-0 down only to win 6-5.
They won the league title with a 13 point margin over Pontefact Collieries who they also beat in the Selby Cup final.
Callum Sharp, Sam Roberts and Ben Cowling all netted for the Hornets in the 3-1 win.
Sharp finished the season as top scorer with 30 goals.
