Strength in numbers can help Doncaster heal a run of nine games without a win, according to Paul Dickov.

Paul Keegan is in line to return to the squad against Wigan tomorrow after two months out with a hamstring problem.

Skipper Rob Jones was also given the all-clear by specialist this week and is targeting a return at Blackpool on January 25.

The pair’s return to the fold follows hot on the heels of James Coppinger and James Husband’s successful comebacks against Blackburn last weekend - and Dickov is convinced the extra bodies will help pull Rovers out of the mire.

“We’ve just got to keep on believing,” said Dickov.

“We’ve got players coming back now which has given the squad a boost.

“Sometimes when your thin on numbers and not winning games you look around the changing room for someone to help you.

“Big Abdou Meite has come in and added experience and Hubby coming back was a big plus for us. Copps also brings more experience and was excellent in the second half at Blackburn.

“We’ve got Paul Keegan back and available for the weekend, and Rob Jones can join in training again after seeing a specialist.

“All of a sudden the squad looks a lot stronger now.”

Meanwhile, Dickov is ‘working overtime’ to sign a striker on loan but is prepared to be patient
