Darren Ferguson says he is in no rush to add to his attacking options.

But the Scot is this week looking into replacing wing back Felipe Mattioni, who is back at Everton receiving treatment on a hamstring injury.

Richie Wellens, Harry Forrester, Paul McKay and Jack McKay have all been allowed to leave Rovers in the current transfer window.

And Ferguson - who has previously stated that he thought the squad was too big and needed re-balancing - is relaxed about bringing players in.

A ‘number ten’ type player capable of playing in between the lines is what Ferguson would like to add, if the right player becomes available.

But when asked on Saturday, he said: “There’s not really any progress there.

“I’ve got to be mindful now that I’ve got Curtis [Main]. He came on and did well [against Stoke].

“And I’ve probably got two of the best strikers in the league as well.

“We’ll wait and see. It would be a different type of player, a number ten, something slightly different, if it’s anyone.

“At the moment I’m in no rush.”

On Mattioni, Ferguson said: “He’s still injured and he’s probably going to be another two to three weeks.

“So the likelihood is I’ll try and get someone in before he comes back.

“We can’t take a chance on that one. There’s no guarantee he’s definitely going to come back anyway.

“We’ll look at that situation more this week.”

- Rovers have been given an allocation of 1678 tickets for their trip to Scunthorpe United on February 6.

Tickets priced £23 for adults and £16 downwards for concessions go on sale to season ticket holders from Monday.
