Reserves coach Duncan Milligan wants to see a first half display which matches the second following Doncaster Rovers Belles’ defeat to Birmingham City reserves on Sunday.
The Doncaster side were up against it before a ball had been kicked as Nicky Emery pulled up in the warm-up because of injury.
Her unfortunate omission left the Belles being forced to play with 10 players.
Despite a Naomi Chadwick spot-kick levelling the tie at 1-1, the Belles went into the interval 4-1 down to their Midlands counterparts - which was the final score.
Milligan said he was ‘disappointed’ following their second defeat from two league games.
“(It’s) probably the third game in a row for the development squad where we gave the other team a 45-minute head start.”
He went on: “The girls are working hard in training and they are putting second half performances in.
“So, if we can get that first half performance going, we have a chance.”
