Darren Moore on the last ditch battle to get Jason Lokilo into Doncaster Rovers

Moore had been tracking the Crystal Palace winger for some time but was finally told that a loan move was a possibility on Friday afternoon.
Moving quickly, he pushed to get a deal done, only for rival clubs to emerge.

Hide AdBut after several hours of wrangling, he secured confirmation that the Belgian would be spending the rest of the season with Rovers.
“Loks came up, not so much late in the day because we started earlier,” Moore said.
“We were battling with other clubs so I’m really pleased to get him. Once we selected him, another couple of clubs came in for him really quickly.
“Credit that I think we got that one over the line between seven and eight on Friday night but in the run up it was a real battle to get him in.

Hide Ad“I stayed behind at the training ground and travelled over to Fleetwood by car later to make sure we got him.
“It was good work by everyone at the club to get him in.
“We feel it’s been good work in this transfer window and that we’ve got four players in that have added to the squad and given us a new dimension.”
Former Anderlecht academy graduate Lokilo has made one senior appearance for Palace and spent last season on loan with French second tier side Lorient.
