STAINFORTH Juniors Under 11s clinched the Doncaster Junior Sunday League Division Two title in some style with comprehensive victories over rivals Rossington Juniors and Bessacarr FC.

The players elected the only female among their number to receive the trophy with Shania Robinson lifting the silverware.

Robinson thought she had grabbed her first goal of the season after several near misses, but her strike against second placed Rossington Juniors was ruled out for offside.

She will now wave goodbye to her Stainforth team mates as she is set to link up with Doncaster Rovers Belles next term.

Jake Oliver grabbed a hat trick as Stainforth saw off Bessacarr 6-0 while Lewis Macinnes, Jake Willis and Benjamin Morrell were also on target.

Macinnes also netted in the 3-0 win over second placed Rossington with Corey Musker and James Gill also finding the net.

The win over Rossington – who have also sealed promotion – gave Stainforth a ten point lead at the top of the table.

It has been a remarkable campaign for Stainforth with one defeat all term.

James Mattocks scored six as Division One promotion chasers Dunscroft Welfare Under 11s triumphed 9-3 at Ordsall.
