JAMES Baxendale will be the freshest face in the squad when Doncaster Rovers return to pre-season training this morning.
The 18-year-old midfielder - a former McAuley pupil - became Sean O’Driscoll’s latest recruit on Friday.
Baxendale came up through the ranks at Leeds United but jumped at the chance to join his hometown club after being released by the Whites.
He said: “I like the style of play and the brand of football that the fans get to watch at the Keepmoat.
“When I knew the boss was interested, he didn’t really have to sell the football club to me.”
Rovers return to training at Cantley Park this morning and play their first friendly at Armthorpe Welfare on Thursday (7.30pm).
The club also announced last week that they would hand a trial to QPR striker Rowan Vine.
The former Luton forward moved to Birmingham four years ago for £3million.
