HATFIELD and Thorne Golf Society enjoyed the hospitality of Bridlington GC to play out the highlight of the golfing year - the Captain's Day trophy.
The following prizes were awarded: Sidney Horsfield took the birdie ball home; after a quick recount Tony Wright and Jim B took the hidden pairs; Harry Eland got closest to the 2nd pin; and Pete McConachie on the 15th claimed the longest drive; captain Ian Crookes came 3rd; Tony Wright took runners-up wine goblets with a net 72; winner was Dean Nixon netting an impressive 71.
Next game is at Crookhill GC on Sunday, August 31, names to JB ASAP.
