STAINFORTH Under 6's recently travelled to the official Sheffield Wednesday feeder club tournament at Thorncliffe FC's 10th Anniversary in Sheffield.
The event was held on a league table basis with each team playing one another. Stainforth triumphed by taking 13 points from a possible 15, without losing or conceding a single goal, scoring 12 goals in the process.

This amazing victory was achieved with three vital players missing, travelling with only 7 players, one of whom only joined the squad the day previous on the Saturday.

This is their second successive tournament win after winning the Leeds United FC tournament back in March.

This awesome display has attracted club scouts from Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Leeds United amongst others.

The U6s manager, Will Eccleston and coach, Neil Conway, are still on the lookout for new and exciting players.

Anyone with a son/daughter looking to play for a very successful young side, please call Will on 07970 820114 or turn up to training on Saturday mornings at 10.30 am at the Welfare Ground.
