THORNE Colliery FC this week announced that Neil Powell, from the successful Moorends Hornets Under 18's, will be joining the club as first team coach.
Neil will work alongside newly appointed manager Tony Stroud, as the squad continue to build for the new season.

Neil, once a player and previous coach/physio at the club, will bring discipline and experience in to the ranks of the first team.

Pre-season training for the 2008-09 season is Tuesday at the Welfare Ground, Grange Road, and Thursday at Trinity Academy, on the Astro turf from 7pm.

Colliery's opening fixtures for the 2008/09 Central Midlands Premier Division should be released next week.
