Thorne Colliery FC 0
Kiveton Park 0
WITH players working, or injured, Colliery gave debuts to Scott Pearson and Lee Barnfield.

From the kick-off the game was end-to-end, with both sides having chances to score, but Kiveton were caught offside on several occasions.

When they did get through, Chester kept everything out.

At the Kiveton end, Thorne had several efforts cleared off the line.

Marshall's header from a free-kick was cleared off the line.

Bembridge and Myers had efforts also cleared off the line.

Colliery could have got all three points had Pearson not had his effort cleared off the line at the back post in the last minute.

It was a good game, played in good spirits by both teams and was hardly a boring 0-0 draw.

Colliery's man of the match was Rob Chester, closely followed by Lee Barnfield.

On Saturday, Colliery are away to Parkhouse FC at Clay Cross, Chesterfield.

The following Saturday, Thorne Colliery have been drawn against Thorne Town in the Goole and Thorne Cup.
