MAIN are through to the semi-finals of the Goole and Thorne District FA Senior Cup thanks to a win at nearby Pollington.

A brace of goals from recent signing Kevin Severn was enough to settle the issue.

Pollington scored through a good strike from former Glasshoughton player Kevin Thompson.

Kev Severn signed for Hatfield Main recently after being out of the game for quite a while and is gradually gaining fitness.

"We are sure he has the class to do well for us in the Central Midlands League," said a Hatfield spokesman.

"We can also reveal that we are in talks with a proven goalscorer at Central Midlands League level and are hopeful of securing his signature in the next week or so.

Hatfield Main are at home on Saturday to Derbyshire side Pinxton, kick off 3pm. All welcome.
