MOORENDS-Thorne Marauders had too much strike power and displayed the ability to score from anywhere on the field, completely controlling the game until the sin-binning of Greg Mills against a tough and well drilled RAF packed Lincoln City Knights.

The first 10 minutes was a typical end-to-end Marauders versus Knights game, as both teams set about the arm wrestle with their normal vigour; the deadlock was broken after Gaz Everton and Gavin Millward's hard driving sucked in the Knights defence, quick hands from Tom Brandham and Mark Roach, found Steve Allen who opened up the Knights, drawing the cover defence before slipping a beautiful inside ball to his brother Chris Allen, to crash over for the first score of the game, ironically an ex-RAF man himself, Ryan Rafferty added the extras.

Moorends allowed Lincoln back into the game when they were penalised in front of their goal for not playing the ball correctly; Moorends defended their line tackling the Knights just short, before Gaz Evans darted over for a try in the corner.
