No consideration from dog walkers

Dear Editor,

Since moving away from Moorends 20 years ago due to RAF life, I like to visit my elderly mum as often as possible. This Christmas I brought with me my Staffordshire bull terrier who enjoys at least a two mile walk every day. We got no further than the top of Micklethwaite Road and turned back!

I was appalled at the lack of consideration by fellow dog-walkers who obviously don’t think it is necessary to clear up after their dogs.

What should have been a pleasant walk turned out to be a short hop, skip and a jump to avoid numerous mounds of dog excrement!
