What a relief as locals get sporty - Picture Gallery
Lakeside Village held a six hour Spin-A-Thon in aid of Sport Relief. Pictured cheering on the participants are Cheryl Sadler and Lyndsey Parry of Lakeside Village.
DONCaster residents were raring to go as they took part in a whole host of fundraising activities to raise cash for Sport Relief.
From running to rowing children and adults alike dug deep to raise money for the charity that helps people living tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the World’s poorest countries.
Among the events sporting Doncastarians took part in was the popular Sport Relief Mile at Balby Carr College with some runners even donning fancy dress on the day.
Meanwhile it was fisty cuffs in Balby as former WBC, European, British and Commonwealth Light Welterweight champion Junior Witter joined residents to complete one million punches for the charity.
So far Sport Relief 2012 has already raised £52 million.
