What a difference a cake makes - Isle traders join in country market

Have your say

HOMEMADE crafts, preserves, cakes and confectionery are among the attractions at the upcoming Crosby Country Market - which features traders from the Isle.

Following the highly successful first Crosby Country Market organisers are looking forward to continued success with the events every other Wednesday between 2-4pm at Greeson Hall, Digby Street, Crosby, Scunthorpe. Dates are as follows - October 12, 24, November 9 and 23 and December 7 and 21.

A spokesman said: “The cake and confectionery stall is very popular - all freshly made, items include Portuguese, vegetarian and Halal delicacies. Preserves include chutney, jams, marmalade and lemon curd. A variety of homemade crafts, and homegrown produce is also available.

“Enjoy Fairtrade Tea/Coffee and sample some homemade cake and relax in the middle of your busy day. We hope you will leave refreshed and resolved to return.”

Anyone interested in joining the small group of enthusiastic producers is invited along to one of the markets for a chat, or contact Ann Hindley via PO Box 216, Crowle, DN17 4YJ; or phone 01724 710819.
