VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help clean up their community.

People in Kirk Sandall can take part in a tidy up day at the Glass Park on October 28.

National charity, The Conservation Volunteers, in partnership with the Glass Park Millennium Trust is organising the event and volunteers should meet at 10am by the bottom of the new path between the Sports Association field and the park near the beacon next to Moor Lane.

All tools, training, refreshments and equipment will be provided. Volunteers need to bring a packed lunch if they wish to stay all day, and should wear suitable footwear and dress. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult but the event is not open to under 16s.

For details contact David Swales on 0114 290 1255.
