Villains ready for Italian Job

A GROUP of Doncaster ‘villains’ are set to carry out an Italian Job of their own.

Local band Famous Villians will be hoping to echo the classic 1960s crime caper and blow the roof off when they play three dates in Bergamo, Varese and Milano after flying out to Italy on Thursday.

The tour, organised by local promoter BM Concerts, sees the band follow in the footsteps of The Darlingtons and The Hot Soles, who both went down a storm in the country following dates overseas.

The band, whose influences include Bruce Springsteen, Wilson Pickett and the sounds of Motown, already have a firm following on the Doncaster live music scene and played to a packed house at The Leopard earlier this month.
