Thousands of visitors gathered to enjoy the Cantley Park Carnival today.
The event pulled in an estimated 2500 visitors despite only being in its second year.
Visitors enjoyed more than 40 stalls, which included information stands, hot food and advice from the emergency services.
There was also fun fair rides, sporting games, archery and a dog show.
Event co-ordinator Cheryl Wallace, of Cantley Park Community Group, said she was pleased to see such a big turn out.
The 45-year-old, of Birchen Close, Bessacarr, added: “It has been a great day, so many people have come up to me and said what a good time they have had.
“This is what the park should be used for, getting people involved in their own community.”
