A teenager critically injured in a hit and run has defied the odds to be allowed home for Christmas.

Danielle Stoton’s family is now looking forward to celebrating the ‘best Christmas ever’ after the 18-year-old amazed medics with her progress. It marks a remarkable upturn in fortunes for the family which feared Danielle may not pull through after she suffered life-threatening head injuries when she collided with a car as she walked home from a party in August.
