Scores of people lined the streets this morning for the funeral of popular Doncaster teenager, Blake Cairns.
Over 500 people paid their respects to the 16-year-old at a service held at the Salvation Army Church, near the Dome.
Blake’s friends Charlie and Jay, and his brothers Stephan and Alex Cairns were among those who spoke at the service.
Alex is a goalkeeper for Leeds United, and a number of his teammates including Michael Tonge, Stephen Warnock and ex Doncaster Rovers ace Billy Sharp were in attendance at Blake’s funeral.
Blake, along with 16-year-olds Jordanna Goodwin and Megan Storey and 18-year-olds Bartosz Bortniczak and Aprad Kore all died following a two car collision in Sheffield Road, Conisbrough on November 15.
The funerals of Bartosz, Megan, Jordanna and Arpad were held earlier this week.
Four of the five were students at Danum Academy while Bartosz was a former pupil.
