Man seriously injured in motorcycle collision

A 57-year-old motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a road traffic collision.

The collision occurred at around 1.50pm on Saturday, September 27, when it is reported that a 57-year-old man travelling in a group of motorcycles left the road and was in a collision with a stone wall.

The man, who was riding a blue Triumph, was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the serious collision, which took place in Blyth Road, Maltby.

Officers are also asking anyone who saw the group of motorcycles riding prior to the collision, to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 618 of September 27 2014.
