Doncaster quad biker injured in crash

A QUAD biker from Doncaster was injured after his vehicle unexpectedly lost power on a busy main road.

Another man, travelling on a second quad behind the yellow Suzuki, suffered broken ribs when his blue Yamaha careered off the carriageway trying to avoid the slowing vehicle.

Police said there was a glancing blow between the quads with the Yamaha leaving the road and hitting a tree.

The Suzuki rider, a 38-year-old man from New Rossington, sustained slight cuts and bruises. He was taken to Rotherham District General Hospital.

The Yamaha rider, from Worksop, was taken to Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital.

The incident happened at 4.15pm on September 16 when the pair were travelling on the A57 Worksop Road near Worksop towards the M1 motorway.
