A stunning Take That tribute band will light up the skies at this Thursday’s Safari Nights event at the award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
Rule the World, described as ‘brilliant’ by Gary Barlow, will be the star attraction at the fun-packed YWP as they perform all of the band’s favourites.
As well as the tribute band, visitors will be able to enjoy YWP’s unique collection of some of the most beautiful and at risk animals in the world after hours, ,a hog roast and a spectacular bangless firework finale.
Director Cheryl Williams said:”There is so much happening this Summer - in fact, our Summer programme is the busiest ever and we also have also added more animals to our collection, which includes some of the world’s most beautiful and at risk species.
“Our Safari nights are proving to be incredibly popular and I am sure Rule The World will be a massive hit with visitors.”
Meanwhile on the same day there will be the chance to meet local adventurer and scientist Dean Lomax and ask questions about his fascinating new, book Dinosaurs of the British Isles, which reveals 100+ species roamed our lands.
The paleontologist, from Doncaster, will be speaking about his expeditions and discoveries and promises to bring rare fossils to show.
The event, which starts at 4pm, features chances to see the animals, hear special ranger talks and visit the Safari Village. Meanwhile, Rule the World will start rocking at 7.30pm.
YWP offers an unrivalled opportunity to come face to face with Amur Leopards, Tigers, Painted Hunting Dogs, Lions, Giraffes, Meerkats, Wallabies, Camels, Giant Anteaters, Zebra and many many more.
New for this Summer is the Safari Village, offering a wide variety of distinctive gifts. The 600 square metre village, complete with its own café and a much larger YWP shop, also features outlets selling crafts, artwork and décor.
The Safari Village is a perfect drop in for visitors before and after enjoying the magical walk-through experience of YWP.
There is also the weather proof 600 sq m Monkey Playbarn – the perfect place to stay out of the sun with a drink.
Children can enjoy three levels of play equipment, including climbing frames, dens, slides and rope bridges - in full view of the new baboon reserve through a glass wall.
Next door is the new Zoom Super Slide Barn, which has an Astra slide and two drop slides (height restrictions apply).
