Suspected collision with church wall in Swinton

A stone wall in the grounds of a church is believed to have been damaged in a collision in Swinton.

On Wednesday, January 21, a report was made to South Yorkshire police of damage to a stone wall at St Margaret’s Church on Church Street.

Officers say the damage appears to have been caused by a vehicle that may have been in collision with the wall, either the previous evening (January 20) or overnight.

Police ask anyone who may have been involved in or witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have information to call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 394 of January 21 2015.
